Brooklands Development Making Good Progress

Following my visit last month to the construction site of the Brooklands Health Centre, I was delighted to return and see the site of the Barratt Homes development.

Africa & UK Collaboration

My recent visit as Armed Forces Minister to Rwanda, Kenya and South Sudan was to promote co-operation with the UK Armed Forces.  Our actions have already had a big impact in these particular countries in supporting them with humanitarian projects and the fight against terrorism.

Brooklands Health Centre - Up on the Roof!

It was great to visit the construction site of the new Brooklands Health Centre where a 50-strong team is busy laying floors, installing ceilings and completing the internal decoration.

A deposit return scheme to increase recycling rates and slash the amount of waste polluting our land and seas will be introduced subject to consultation later this year, it was confirmed yesterday.

Pothole Funding for MK

Good to hear that Milton Keynes Council will receive an additional £400k from the Government to repair potholes. It's an issue that has been filling up my inbox in recent weeks.

First Export MK Is Launched

Our inaugural event to encourage MK businesses to export was held on Friday (23rd March) and was hailed a big success and we plan for it to return next year.
