£100m Funding For Milton Keynes University Hospital

Local MP Mark Lancaster has expressed his delight after Milton Keynes University Hospital was given £100m of Government funding for a major upgrade and expansion.

The boost in cash announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock will be used to upgrade current facilities as well as a major expansion of the hospital.

This funding follows a brand new £10m Government funded state-of-the-art Pathway Unit announced in December.

Mark commented, “I’m delighted we have managed to secure such a huge boost in funding for our local hospital.

“Alongside a record increase of day-to-day NHS funding, this money locally will transform the hospital for patients and our brilliant NHS staff.

“I have always campaigned for ‘Infrastructure Before Expansion’ here in MK and this will ensure we have a world class hospital fit for Milton Keynes giving local people the best possible healthcare.”
