Local Police Receive Extra £1,160,000 To Tackle Violent Crime

Mark Lancaster MP has welcome an extra £1,160,000 worth of funding for local police to tackle violent crime in Milton Keynes.

The Violence Reduction Unit boost for Thames Valley Police follows £1,500,000 in April and a further £440,000 in May.

This follows an announcement from Prime Minister Boris Johnson granting extra stop and search powers for police across the country to help tackle knife crime.

I'm pleased to see more funding for Thames Valley Police which will really help towards ensuring we keep people safe.
