Following a short battle with cancer, former MP for Milton Keynes Brian White sadly passed away yesterday.
I am desperately sad to hear the news of Brian's passing. We may have met as political opponents but we soon became friends and shared a mutual passion for MK.
Although we often disagreed on issues of policy, Brian was a first-rate constituency Member of Parliament who served his constituents well. In Westminster he was a member of both the Public Administration Committee and the Statutory Instruments Committee, and will perhaps be best remembered for the role he played in winning the argument for the continued use of vellum, and ultimately ensuring the survival of a local business.
Brian was a true champion for Milton Keynes and will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Leena and family at this sad time."
