Unauthorised Travellers Encampments

An increase in unauthorised traveller encampments has become a real concern for residents across MK.

Superintendent Yvette Finch has assured me that Thames Valley Police are taking the matter seriously and working closely with the Council and other partners.

Boost for MK Rough Sleepers

The Government has provided Milton Keynes Council with £240k to boost the immediate support available to people living on the streets and help them into accommodation.

Update: MK Bus Shelter

Adopted as the Mayor’s charity of the year, MK Bus Shelter is now fully operational, offering shelter and support to six people who would otherwise be living on our streets.

COMPASS

To mark the end of Mental Health Awareness Week, I met with the team at COMPASS in Netherfield.
 
COMPASS is a substance misuse service supporting both adults and youth in MK.  Their aim is to support those tackling addiction with recovery and treatment services
