Supporting MK Businesses

Milton Keynes is recognised as one of the fastest growing cities in the UK. With significant population and employment growth and high levels of productivity, Milton Keynes is the place to live, work and enjoy.

Since Milton Keynes was established 50 years ago, our reputation for innovation and growth has enabled a strong local economy and in turn, high levels of employment. Attracted by the ideal transportation links close to the M1 and just a short 30 minute train journey into London, many major national and international businesses have decided to make their home here. Santander, Cocoa Cola, Home Retail Group, Network Rail, Mercedes Benz and VW are just some of the major companies who have established their UK operations in Milton Keynes.

We are also very proud of having one of the highest rates of business start ups adding to the 11,000 companies who are already operating and adding to our local economy.

Government has already identified the contribution that Milton Keynes can make and we look forward to the significant improvements to the road and rail links between Oxford, Milton Keynes and Cambridge.

Now home to 267,000 people with over 5,000 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland and a local economy of £9.6 billion, this is evidence enough to show what can be achieved with an innovative vision.

Behind the Mask!

I'm asked to do many things in my role as an MP.  This has to be the strangest yet the most relaxing!
