Our hospital has reached a major milestone in recent months in becoming a teaching facility, attracting new medical students to the area, in addition, highly regarded clinicians to Milton Keynes. The word is definitely filtering out that MKU Hospital is the place to be!
Over the next 3 years the hospital will be investing £60-70 million to improve the facilities and services for their patients. Currently we are witnessing the construction of a new cancer centre and an additional purpose built 20 bed ward. An additional car park with 120 spaces has been completed to accommodate the expansion and their 4,000 staff.
The hospital has also secured £10 million of Government funding to build a brand new state-of-the-art Pathway Unit and its new Cancer Centre is set to open next year.
In September 2019, the Government announced MKU Hospital will benefit from a £100 million fund for a major upgrade and expansion.
