Mark Lancaster MP has called for Milton Keynes to be granted city status. Mark has tabled an Early Day Motion in Parliament to try and get other MPs support to cement the cities status.

Earlier this month it was announced that to celebrate the Queen’s diamond jubilee in 2012 some towns would be granted city statuses and Mark hopes very much that Milton Keynes might be one of the lucky ones.

MP Mark Lancaster said “We are a tremendously forward looking city, we’re very successful, we’ve got great business and of course now we’ve just now received backing to be one of the host cities for the 2018 World Cup should England get it. This provides much promise for Milton Keynes and I very much hope that we are granted city status.”
