Milton Keynes North MP, Mark Lancaster, has today come out in support of the change to the non-emergency contact number for the Thames Valley Police, which has been launched today.

The number 101 will replace the current 0845 8 505 505 number, but both will run side by side until March when the longer 0845 number will be dropped.

Mark commented; ‘This number is far simpler for people to remember and it will ensure that they are put through to the correct police force for them. I think this is a very positive step forward for the force.’

There is an alternative landline number, aside from 101, which the public will also be able to use, which is 08165 841148.
