Mark is delighted that a city engineering treasure is set for a facelift.

The Iron Trunk aqueduct, just outside Old Wolverton, was voted by the public to win a £60,000 share of the Jubilee People's Millions.

The bid was made by Wolverton and Greenley's Town Council.

Mark, who supported the bid for the money, said: “I am delighted that the Iron Trunk has won a slice of the People’s Millions. It is a wonderful feat of engineering – among the city’s finest – and thoroughly deserves a refurbishment to mark its birthday.

"A big well done should go to everyone involved in helping secure this money and I look forward to seeing the aqueduct restored to its former glory.”
