Remember to buy your poppy this November.

That is the message from Mark Lancaster who has been selling the flowers to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

With Remembrance Sunday fast approaching, the Milton Keynes North MP took to the Market Square at Olney on behalf of the charity which supports former armed forces officers and their families.

Mr Lancaster, a serving Territorial Army officer, said: “I am pleased to be able to do my best for this most worthwhile of causes. I always find it heartening to see the nation united in wearing their poppies, because it means that each of them recognises the sacrifice made by our armed forces. Let’s hope Milton Keynes can raise even more money than last year.”

Remembrance Sunday events will be taking place on November 14 across the city, and Mark will be attending in Newport Pagnell and New Bradwell.
